Gul has been one of the top T20 bowlers in his hay-days and was regarded as the King of Yorkers. He knows all about modern-day bowling mechanics and techniques. Quetta Gladiators Team History
Quetta Gladiators have always got support from their fans whenever, wherever, and whoever they play. They weren’t the best team as compared to some of the other ones in the starting seasons but still managed to get very positive results. Looking at the first edition, in particular, Quetta Gladiators finished at the 2nd spot in their group stage, qualified for the final, but lost it to Islamabad United.
The second edition was the ditto of the first one, except the final. QG again qualified for the playoffs, having secured the second spot in the group stage. Once again, they were in the final, and this time it was being played in the home country, Pakistan. However, Quetta lost the final against Peshawar Zalmi by a big margin of 58 runs. They were eliminated in the first eliminator of the third edition by Peshawar Zalmi. PZ won the game by just a single run to secure their place in the second eliminator. They won against KK but lost to IU in the final.
The fourth season was the best for Quetta Gladiators as they became the champions after some heartbreaks in the starting ones. They faced Peshawar Zalmi in the finals and boy did they take their revenge from 2017! Quetta Gladiators defeated PZ comfortably by 8 wickets in a one-sided final, to win the PSL in 2019.
Last season was the worst in the history of QG as they failed to make it to the playoffs for the first time. They finished at 5th place in the group stage to see an unfortunate exit from the tournament.
Quetta Gladiators Complete PSL 6 Schedule 2021
The champions of 2019 will go up against the champions of 2020 in the very first match of the Pakistan Super League 6. Quetta Gladiators fixtures 2021 will begin on 20th February itself. They will play the Karachi Kings at their home ground, I.E., National Stadium, Karachi. Whenever both teams go up against each other, it’s sure to be a classic and an edge-of-the-seat contest. The first match will start at 7 PM PST.
