SRH Team History

Sunrisers Hyderabad came into the Indian Premier League scene in 2013. They were not part of the league in the initial 5 seasons. But as soon as they came, they had an immediate impact, finishing as the 4^th best team in the league that year.

Afterward, their fan following started to grow. However, they had a disappointing performance in 2014 and 15, getting eliminated in the group stage. But the fans remained loyal to their club, and 2016 gave them their biggest present. Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated the unstoppable Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final to win their first IPL title.

In 2017, SRH again qualified for the playoffs but failed to go past the 4^th position. In 2018, they reached the final once again, but the Chennai Super Kings proved out to be too good for them, and won their 3^rd IPL title, breaking the hearts of Hyderabad fans. Next year, they again ended their tournament as the 4^th best team, and last year they took the bronze medal home.

When it comes to qualifying for the playoffs, Sunrisers Hyderabad has been constant, but they have been lacking some luck in the playoff stage. Nevertheless, this year could be the time when they win their 2^nd IPL title, and they certainly have the ability to do so.
