Founded in 1939, the VRA Cricket Academy at the VRA Amsterdam is one of the venues for Euro Slam 2019. This popular cricket ground is located in beautiful Amsterdam and is able to host an impressive 14,500 spectators, which is part of the reason that it was selected for the T20 Slam. Not only has this location in the Netherlands been used for years for hosting cricket matches, but it also features a grass wicket, which is part of the reason that it is so popular. It is one of the few locations on the European mainland that boasts this wicket, making it a hub of cricket activity from around the world.

Thanks to the AAA status of this cricket club, it has long been a popular destination for cricket tournaments. The home to the Dutch Cricket team, the VRA features annual matches to international teams as well as summer games for other touring teams. Matches Schedule For VRA Cricket Academy Amsterdam

Fans and players of the European T20 League will appreciate the beautiful grounds, buildings, and location of this club. The grounds are all perfectly manicured, which adds to the beauty and the enjoyment of the game. The main ground has a standard turf wicket, while the other three grounds have artificial wickets, making them great for use during the winter. There are currently five men’s teams that play on Sundays and seven youth teams and a women’s team that play on Saturdays. The club is very accepting and always open to new members, which is great for players who have an interest in joining and experiencing cricket from the field. With so many teams to choose from as well as full teams so that players don’t have to play every single weekend, it’s easy to see why this location is so popular.

The VRA Cricket Ground is the first stage in the upcoming schedule. There will be 10 games played here, from 30 August 2019 to 5 September 2019. The opening game of the Amsterdam Kings v Rotterdam Rhinos is sure to be a thriller and will set the tone for the rest of the competition.
